Frontline Spot on Top for Dogs

Frontline Top Spot is a topical spot-on treatment that treats and prevents flea infestation, brown dog tick, American dog tick, lone star tick, deer ticks and chewing lice on dogs and puppies. It also assists in control of Sarcoptic mange infestations. It has a swift onset of action and controls re-infestations due to newly acquired adult fleas for one full month. It is recommended for puppies and dogs at least 8 weeks of age along with breeding, pregnant or lactating dogs.

How To Use

Frontline Top Spot is available in four different packs categorized as per the size and weight of the dog. Check the dosage table.

STEP ONE

Before administering the treatment, keep the dog in an upright position. Divide the fur between the shoulder blades such that you can see the bare skin spot.

STEP TWO

Break the seal of the pipette cautiously and ensure that it is away from the eyes and ears of your dog. Compress the content till the entire pipette gets empty on the bare spot.

STEP THREE

Apply at a particular spot if the dog is of small or medium size. If the dog is of large size smear 3-4 spots across his backbone.

Let the applied site get completely dry before letting children and other pets get near to the treated pet. Repeat the procedure on a monthly basis. If you need further guidance consult your veterinarian.

Safety

Strictly to be used only on dogs.
If the dog is allergic to any of the ingredients present in the treatment then do not administer it on him.
Wash or bath the dog after 2 days of application.
Children and other pets should not be allowed to get near the treated pet till the application site completely dries out.
Always use this treatment on intact skin.
Make sure that the treatment does not enter the eyes and mouth of the pet.
After applying this treatment wash your hands properly with soap and water.
Always keep the product away from food items and children.
If you have a sick and debilitated pet consult with your veterinarian before applying this treatment.
If you find any adverse reaction on your dog after administration of the treatment consult your veterinarian immediately.

Flea Tick Frontline Spot on Dogs

Frontline Top Spot is a Merial / Boehringer Ingelheim product that kills adult fleas and ticks along with biting lice on dogs. It is an extremely cost-effective treatment that kills 100% fleas within a day of administration along with prevention of paralysis ticks for two weeks and brown ticks for complete 30 days.

Fipronil is the major ingredient present in this flea and tick preventive treatment which works by controlling the GABA chloride channels in insects. These GABA channels regulates the “message” that goes from the fleas and ticks' nerves to the muscles resulting in contraction. It also controls motion of these messages to certain glands. When this active ingredient is ingested by these pesky parasites it inhibits their regulatory channels resulting in incessant excitement of their nervous system causing death of these pesky parasites.
