Equimec Horse Paste

Equimec Horse Paste is a broad-spectrum worm control formula for horses that kills all the important internal parasites in horses. The oral worm treatment is indicated for the treatment and control of adult and immature roundworms. It controls various species of Large Strongyles (adult and arterial larval stages) and Small Strongyles (including benzimidazole-resistant bloodworms), Intestinal threadworms, Pinworm, Hairworm, Bots, Lungworms and Neck threadworms.

This low-dose formula effectively controls skin lesions caused by Habronema, summer sores and Neck threadworm (Onchocerca spp.) microfilariae. Equimec comes in an easy-to-use trigger applicator for quick administration. It may be used in horses of all ages including mares and stallions.

How To Use

Administer Equimec Paste orally.
Unlock the knurled ring by making a 1/4 turn and slide the knurled ring up the plunger shaft to adjust the side nearest the barrel at a suitable weight marking.
Turn the knurled ring 1/4 turn to lock it in place. Take the plastic cap from the tip of the nozzle.
Ensure the horse's mouth does not contain feed.
Insert the syringe into the side of the horse's mouth in the gap between the front and back teeth.
Advance the plunger as far as it will go, depositing the treatment on the rear of the tongue.
Immediately raise the horse's head for a few seconds after dosing ensuring the complete dose is swallowed.

Dosing:

Equimec Paste should be given at the recommended dose level of 200μg ivermectin/kg weight.
The contents of a syringe will treat one horse at 1320 lbs (600kg) weight.
Each weight marking at the syringe plunger delivers 1.07 g of paste which is enough to treat 100kg weight.

Safety

Mares may be treated at any stage of pregnancy.
Stallions may be treated without adversely affecting their fertility.
Do not treat horses less than 21 days before slaughter for human consumption.
Do not use in any other animals intended for human consumption.
Dispose of the empty syringe by wrapping in paper and putting in the garbage.
Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing.
Poisonous if swallowed. Contact a doctor in case of poisoning.
Keep away from the reach of children and pets.
